Commitment / Covenant |

We commit ourselves to follow Jesus Christ, through whom God has reconciled the world, and in whom we continue the work of reconciliation. We commit ourselves to each other and to this congregation, promising to love our sisters and brothers in God's family. We will share our time, our decisions, our love, our talents and our possessions for everyone's good. We commit ourselves to care for the world, to bring good news to the poor, to set free the oppressed, and to proclaim Jesus as Savior and Lord. We commit ourselves to live out discipleship, to separate ourselves from the world's evil by transformed minds, to seek peace and pursue it in our daily living, to demonstrate the suffering love of Christ through non-violence in all human relationships, to trust in God's love as our protection. We commit ourselves to the way of the cross, to prayer and the study of God's word, to a life of simplicity and self-denial. In this we will find our joy, our peace, our life!
